How do I convince my dad to let me get a parrot?

Trust me, iv done the research blah blah blah and really want a parrot. Im fully aware of what i would be taking on. Im responsible so that's not a problem. He said, "Not in my house, they're noisy and messy, you can get one when you have your own place." He also said, "We don't need a whole spectrum of animals." (I have a fish tank and 2 cats). I would be able to pay for everything and have plenty of spare time too. What do i do?
