Were you aware of child abuse at any of your schools?

The history teacher at my primary school was interviewed by police then committed suicide over allegations; and the male art teacher at senior high college (16-18) had an affair with a student, and the female classics teacher used to invite boys to her home for sex. Luckily I was never abused but was aware of it going on - Just wondered if my schools were exceptional or if this is typical.
