Does whatsapp work on xperia play ?

I was thinking of buying xperia play for my upcoming birthday. I know some would say, why not iPhone4, well its too expensive for me and my father told me he isn't going to pay too expensive phone. I love xperia play because i love games, but I am aware that iphone4 gives us the ability to download whatsapp but I do not know whether xperia play provides that kind of a bility too. can you guys tell me, does is work on xperia play, the whatsapp
