Can I cook directly on campfire without damaging the cookware/pot? It won't get burnt?

=== for me the best plan of campfire cooking will always be to use "" cast iron "" pots and skillets.... these are already blackened iron and can be used in the oven or on top of the BBQ grill..... if you have nice ""chef style"" cookware it will be totally the best to get some outdoor styled cook pots .... YOUR COOKWARE will get burnt and blackened and never look the same ... it can be cleaned but it won't look like new .... may I suggest that you try the Army & Navy Discount Store or an outdoor speciality shop for black iron cookware == I'll bet that Walmart has the cookware that you are looking for .... save your good pots for the casa ....
