Where can I get a good dog for less than $500-600?

I'm not really sure exactly WHERE you can find one, but I know it's way cheaper adopting one. Not all adoption pets are from the shelter. Some are adoption pets because they were set out for people to buy for a long time and no one bought them. And if people still don't adopt them, they will be euthanized.
